Body Mist: Soap & Glory Vanilla-licious 🍨💖

Notes/Accords: Vanilla, Amber, Sweet Sugar

** Please read What is Anosmia? How do I live with it? to get a full understanding of the concept of this blog and how I go about "smelling" as an anosmic.

Body mists have always been a popular and easy way for people to get into fragrances without having to break the bank. They're also a great way to wear a fragrance during the hotter months or in warmer climates without the heaviness of a perfume or cologne. Some people tend to shy away from body mists for many reasons, but I'm here to tell you that brands are moving quickly to drop a body mist version or a body mist dupe of your favorite perfume because body mists are becoming popular again.

Soap & Glory might be a brand you shy away from at first because of the name of the brand, but I wouldn't do that with this body mist! Sure, the packaging does look a little tween-ish, but the scent is far from that. I wouldn't buy this for your tween, pre-teen, or teenager at all. Keep reading to find out why. Since this is a body mist, the wear test duration will be a lot shorter than a perfume wear test. Body mists typically last 2-4 hours. Initial Spray & Dry Down:

The vanilla hits AS SOON as you mist! It's not a childish vanilla at all. A warm vanilla mixed with sugary sweetness hits your nose at first spray. It's close to a gourmand type of sweet when it first sprays and dries down. It's very sugary. It's like eating a spoonful of sugar. But don't worry, it doesn't last very long. All pun intended, it's short, sweet, and to the point. The warm amber and vanilla combo always makes me think of a hot brownie with vanilla ice cream on top. The combination of these two accords is a 10 out of 10. Picture this: getting your dessert plate that comes with a brownie and vanilla ice cream on top. The brownie is fresh out of the oven, and it is so hot that it heats up the vanilla ice cream a little, turning the ice cream into warm vanilla ice cream. It smells just like that! So if you wanna smell like a walking dessert, this is for you.

30 mins - 1 Hour: A little over an hour in, and it still smells just like the initial warm vanilla scent. The really sweet aspect of the fragrance has disappeared. You're left with a gentle, sweet smell rather than an over-the-top, super-sugary-sweet smell. 2-4 hours: Like any other body mist or lightweight perfume, around this time, the fragrance's intensity has dropped. It's still there, but it's very subtle. You still smell warm and sweet, but it's not that strong. And that's okay because it's not supposed to be; it's a body mist. To say I sprayed this at 1 pm and it's now 5 pm, and I can still smell some of the warm sugary sweet smell, it's worth it.

Final thoughts:

Would I repurchase this? Yes, for my beach bag. I think this is a nice post-beach/pool day body mist that you can wear to still smell feminine without it being over the top. Say you decide to go out to get food or drinks after drying off from the beach or pool, this would be a good lightweight body mist for that. You won't smell like the ocean or chlorine, but a sweet, warm nighttime treat.

And for the price of $10, it's definitely worth buying too! P.S: Check out & show some love to the content I created with Soap and Glory's Vanilla-Licious body mist:
